Jacques Monory 🇫🇷 (1924-2018) born in Paris. He first trained as a painter-decorator at the School of Applied Arts in Paris, then entered the world of photography by working 10 years for an art publisher.
He is one of the main representatives of the Figuration Narrative movement, a movement created in the 1960s to give painting a political and social meaning.

Jacques Monory
French artist Jacques Monory, one of the leaders of the narrative figuration movement. Having trained at the École des Arts Appliqués in Paris, Jacques Monory quickly developed a passion for photography, which he integrated into his art, namely with his famous monochrome blue backgrounds.
